Universal Aerosol Primer

DECO Blik Primer is a fast-drying universal aerosol primer designed to prepare a wide range of surfaces for painting. It provides excellent adhesion, anti-corrosion protection, and helps achieve a smooth, uniform topcoat finish.

Thanks to its well-balanced formula, the primer is easy to apply, dries quickly, and sands effortlessly. It is compatible with most types of paints, including acrylic, synthetic, alkyd, and nitro-combi systems. The product line includes four base colors — white, grey, red, and black — allowing you to choose the ideal foundation for your topcoat.

DECO Blik Primer is suitable for both DIY and professional use on metal, plastic, wood, and other solid materials. It’s ideal for automotive refinishing, motorcycle parts, decorative projects, and also for garden and construction equipment.

Application:

  1. Prepare the surface
    Remove dust, rust, grease, oil, wax, and old coatings. The surface must be clean, dry, and degreased. Lightly sand the surface with P400–P600 sandpaper if needed.

  2. Shake the can well
    Shake vigorously for at least 2 minutes after the mixing ball becomes audible. This ensures proper consistency and uniform application.

  3. Test spray
    Spray on a test surface to check flow and compatibility.

  4. Apply in thin, even coats
    Hold the can 15–25 cm from the surface.
    Apply 2–3 thin layers, allowing 5–10 minutes between coats.
    Avoid heavy application to prevent runs or sagging.

  5. Drying and post-treatment
    Touch-dry in 10–15 minutes.
    Sandable after 30–60 minutes.
    Apply topcoat no sooner than 1 hour after full drying.

Important:

  • Do not apply in high humidity!
    Elevated humidity may cause hazing, poor adhesion, or surface defects. Always work in dry, well-ventilated areas with humidity below 65%.

Safety Precautions

  • Use protective gloves, goggles, and a respirator
  • Do not spray near open flames or on hot surfaces
  • Store below 50°C, away from heat and direct sunlight
  • After use, turn the can upside down and spray to clear the nozzle
  • Do not pierce or incinerate the can, even when empty
